A typical home theater configurations are configured with 5.1 channels. The 5 indicates the use of five speakers, or channels, right, center, front left, rear right and left back. The.1 shows a subwoofer for low frequency effects. Home most configurations, the 5.1 channel is adequate, but some common configurations, adding an extra two surround channels, called Dolby Digital Plus 7.1. These additional channels including a left surround and right surround. But … The fun does not stop there. latest configurations allow for 9.1 channels, known as the Dolby Pro Logic IIz. This configuration extra two front channels, a left speaker and a front door right in front of the left speaker. The goal is to add space and depth to the sound field effect by placing the speakers high above the existing channels.
You need not be confused with a choice of configuration to choose from for your home> Theatre. I love a good setup and put a lot of emphasis on acoustics. But to get good results, you may not get involved in the hype – you do not need nine channels, it really is not even seven. For the theater most of the programs are a perfect 5.
Go 5.1 will be obtained with the acoustic results you want and when you have money in the process. If you want more channels, more demands are placed on your handset. And if you're worried about losingall the new sounds of the latest movies, do not worry … Most are still in 5.1 and above, I'm sure you will not even notice a difference by adding extra channels. But if your intention is to build the theater with ceilings higher than 20 feet, you can explore the channels 9 and 7 During my design and planning, I decided that I wanted to keep 5.1, but keep your options open in the future, if I changed my mind.
Knowthat the studies are always trying to create new audio and print media for the consumer, I decided to future proof my room my best. I reached the door when the speaker wire in the extra 9-channel configuration and installation of PVC pipes in my attic so you can quickly and easily create a new thread in the future. The additional costs are minimal, and I recommend that your investment in the future to protect. In addition, as a power cable ever fail, so it can be easilyexchanged.
Another thing I have to compliment my 5.1 setup was to add an additional subwoofer. An additional speaker is not required, but two is usually better than one for a couple of reasons. Assuming that you are using the same make and model, plus a sub to be significantly better bass performance. The sounds will be more smooth and uniform, and the listening area will be larger. The sound quality will be extended to all areas of your seat and you have a very difficult time determiningsource of low frequency, often with a single sub bass sounds from his chair and lumpy from each other. Acceptance of proper placement, a sub is good but two is even better!
Bottom line, when you design your home all you need is a 5 channel setup, you do not get caught up on all the hype about the addition of extra, unnecessary channels. If the receiver supports the use of two subwoofers, go ahead and add an extra. And last but not least, do not forget to secure the futureyour room by adding some extra wires and tubes.
